About the Jewelry
Do you only carry Indian & South Asian style jewelry?
No. We carry jewelry from all around the world, including modern western style jewelry. Our diamond sets are a good example of this.
Are all of your jewelry pieces real?
Yes. All of our jewelry is 100% real. From precious stones to cut diamonds, we handpick the highest quality pieces for our customers.
What karat jewelry do you offer?
We carry 22 karat and 18 karat jewelry.
Do you clean the jewelry after each use?
Yes. We have a thorough process in which we clean, inspect, and store the jewelry so that it is ready for the next wearer.
Do you have different sizes of necklaces and bracelets?
Yes. Our necklace sets have adjustable back-chains so that it can fit any neck. Please see our sizing guide for rings and bangles.
Placing an Order
How long can I rent jewelry for?
Jewelry rental is available for either 4 or 8 days.
Can I rent jewelry for more than 8 days?
If you have needs that require a longer rental period please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
How does the hold on my credit card work?
The day before we ship your jewelry we place a hold on your credit card that is a percentage of the retail value of the jewelry (10% for diamond pieces, 20% for gold). Once we have received and inspected the jewelry, we remove the hold.
Why do you place a credit card hold?
We place a hold to prevent jewelry theft and to cover and lost or damaged items.
What does the insurance cover?
Each customer receives insurance with their jewelry rental, which covers minor wear and tear (e.g., a small stone falling out of a necklace set or a bend in an earring backing).
Is Rent It Rani available outside of the U.S?
At this time Rent It Rani is only available within the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).
Can you ship to hotels?
Yes! Specify the hotel and reservation name in the notes field, and let the hotel concierge know to expect your delivery.
Do you ship to P.O. boxes?
Unfortunately we do not.
Why is there only one shipping method?
Unfortunately due to insurance reasons, each order must be shipped with overnight delivery.
Does someone need to sign the package when it arrives?
Yes. An adult, 18 or older, will need to sign for the package when it arrives.
Is the jewelry safe & secure when it ships?
Yes! We’ve spent countless hours designing and testing our packaging to ensure that it arrives to you safely and securely.
What time will my jewelry arrive?
Your jewelry should arrive before noon on your given delivery date.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship within the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.
How can I track my order to make sure it arrives on time?
You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped.
What if I’m not in love with the jewelry I receive?
We are here to make sure you look your absolute best! Call us at 312-624-8577 the day that your order arrives and we’ll exchange your jewelry (with overnight shipping) for something that you will love!
Do I need to provide a shipping label for returning my order?
Your package will come with a return label so that returning your jewelry is super easy!
What is the late fee policy?
- Merchandise received One (1) Day Late – 50% of the rental fee for that item will be added to the total fees
- Two (2) to Seven (7) Days Late – 100% of the rental fee for that item will be added to the total fees
- Eight (8) to Fourteen (14) Days Late – 200% of the rental fee for that item will be added to the total fees.
- Any time beyond Fourteen (14) Days without express notification to Rent It Rani will be presumed lost or stolen and the full security holding deposit will be charged as well as liquidated damages.
How will I know that my order has been returned safely?
You will receive a confirmation email once the jewelry has been received and inspected.
What time do I have to return my order by?
Your order must be shipped or dropped off by noon on the given return date.

Can I change my rental dates after I’ve placed an order?

Can I cancel an order?
You may cancel an order within 24 hours of placing the order. To do this please call us at 312-624-8577.
Can I change my shipping address?
Of course! Just contact us via email or phone.
Can I extend an order from 4 days to 8 days?
Sure! Just contact us via email or phone.
In-Office Pick Up
Can I pick up my order at your location instead of having it shipped to me?
Yes! When checking out choose the pick-up option. Please note that our office is located in downtown Chicago.
Can I drop-off my order?
Sure! Your order must be dropped off by noon on your given return date.

How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment through our website. At this time, appointments are located at our downtown Chicago office on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
What if I am not available on Tuesday or Thursday?
